Visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (Day 1)

Text and photos by Shahlo Ibragimova

Today was the first day of the MIRAI program. We visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Very exciting and interesting event.

We had three lectures about the culture and politics of Japan. The first lecture was devoted to modern martial art budo, its philosophy and subtleties. Budo has several directions: karate, aikido, judo, kendo, kyudo, etc. For me the lecture was very interesting and informative.

The second lecture was on the topic of the TICAD program. The lecture was also interesting, at the end of which the participants received answers to their questions.

The third lecture was most relevant in connection with the latest developments in the world. We have expanded our knowledge of the Japanese policy and its position on the actions of North Korea.

Also we really liked the exhibition of books about Japan: about culture and politics, in English.
